25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee to Offer $25 Lottery Tickets at Every Performance

When The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee begins performances at the Circle in the Square Theatre on Broadway on April 15, a limited number (20) of $25 lottery tickets will be offered at every performance. These lottery tickets are available in-person, at the box office only.

The Rules of the 'SPELLING BEE' Lottery
2 hours prior to each performance, names are collected.
1-? hours (90 minutes) prior to each performance, names of the winners are drawn.
There is a limit of two tickets per person, cash only.

Winners must be present, with valid photo I.D., when their names are drawn.

In The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.

The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee features Derrick Baskin as Mitch Mahoney, Deborah S. Craig as Marcy Park, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Leaf Coneybear, Dan Fogler as William Barfee, Lisa Howard as Rona Lisa Peretti, Celia Keenan-Bolger as Olive Ostrovsky, Jose Llana as Chip Tolentino, Jay Reiss as Douglas Panch and Sarah Saltzberg as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre.

The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee has choreography by Dan Knechtges, musical direction by Vadim Feichtner and orchestrations by Michael Starobin. Scenic design is by Beowulf Boritt, costumes by Jennifer Caprio, lighting by Natasha Katz, and sound design by Dan Moses Schreier.

The 25thAnnual Putnam County Spelling Bee begins at Broadway's Circle in the Square (50th St., between B'way & 8th) on April 15 and will have its press opening on May 2. The performance schedule: Tues. evenings at 7pm (BUT: Tues. at 8pm during previews - April 19 & 26), Weds. thru Fri. evenings at 8pm; Sat. at 2pm & 8pm; and Sun. at 3pm & 7:30pm.
