"I just took the red eye from LA and so I was in an ambient state. I was present and not present. My phone was off and I turned it on and I had 15 messages. I know something was really good or really bad. Either we got a Tony nomination or the world was ending. I'm very happy for Tom [Hanks] and Courtney [Vance] and the design team. But mostly I'm so happy for Nora [Ephron] and her family. It's been an intense, amazing, wonderful journey. Later I'll stop by the theatre so that we can all congratulate each other."
