The American Theatre Wing's 64th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony"® Awards were held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 13, 2010 and broadcast on the CBS Television Network. For more information visit tonyawards.com.

Nominations in 26 competitive categories for the American Theatre Wing's 64th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony"® Awards were announced on May 4, 2010 by Broadway Star Lea Michele and Tony Award Nominee Jeff Daniels.

The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards are bestowed annually on theatre professionals for distinguished achievement. The Tony is one of the most coveted awards in the entertainment industry and the annual telecast is considered one of the most prestigious programs on television.

Eddie Redmayne ("Ken" in Red)

David Alan Grier ("Henry Brown" in Race)
David Alan Grier received an MFA from the Yale School of Drama and appeared on Broadway in The First (Tony nomination, Theatre World Award), Dreamgirls and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. His Off-Broadway credits include the New York Shakespeare Festival productions of Richard III and The Merry Wives of Windsor (Central Park), A Soldier's Play (Negro Ensemble Company) and The Wiz (La Jolla Playhouse). On film, Grier appeared in Amazon Women on the Moon, Baadasssss!, Boomerang, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Jumanji, Poker House, A Soldier's Story, Streamers, Tales from the Hood and The Woodsman. "Chocolate News" and "In Living Color" number among his television credits. Simon & Schuster recently published Grier's memoir Barack Like Me: The Chocolate-Covered Truth.


Stephen McKinley Henderson ("Jim Bono" in Fences)

Broadway credits include August Wilson’s King Hedley II and the revival of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Dracula, Drowning Crow. Stephen was a member of Mr. Wilson’s celebrated Jitney ensemble (2002 Olivier Award for Outstanding Drama). Other credits: The Last Days of Judas Iscariot at the Public, Death of a Salesman at Yale Rep, Signature Theatre’s Wilson Season and Kenny Leon’s historic Century Cycle readings at the Kennedy Center. Film/TV work includes HBO’s “Everyday People,” Fox’s “New Amsterdam,” “Law & Order.” Professor and former chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance for SUNY Buffalo. Member of the LAByrinth Theater Company, the Actor’s Center and a Fox Foundation Fellow.


Jon Michael Hill ("Franco Wicks" in Superior Donuts)
Jon Michael Hill received his BFA in Acting from U of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana.  He has been an ensemble member of the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago since 2007.  His theater credits at Steppenwolf include: The Tempest, directed by Tina Landau (Ariel), The Unmentionables, directed by Anna Shapiro (Etienne), Superior Donuts, directed by Tina Landau (Franco Wicks), and Kafka on the Shore, directed by Frank Galati (Crow).  Other theater credits include:  The Public Theater Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Daniel Sullivan (Puck), In the Red and Brown Water (Elegba) at the Alliance Theater and The Cure at Troy (Chorus) at Seattle Repertory Theater, both directed by Tina Landau.  Jon had a recurring role on “Guiding Light” and made his Opera debut as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Houston Grand Opera.
