2010 TonyAwards.com Launches With New Interactive Features

The Tony Awards has unveiled their updated website, www.tonyawards.com, integrating new features and interactive fan capabilities, and debuting a brand new look.

This year TonyAwards.com features a number of new components including:

· "On the Scene" - a real-time blog (powered by Tumblr) covering all things Tony Awards happening around New York City from Nominations through the telecast

· More LIVE video than ever before including LIVE coverage of the Tony Awards Nominations on May 4th at 8:30 a.m. (ET) in their entirety. Additionally, the site will feature LIVE coverage from the Tony Awards Red Carpet and the Tony Awards backstage media room on the night of the Tonys on June 13th. Footage will also be viewable on TonyAwards.com following each event

· Tony Nominee Twitter feeds where users can sort feeds by their favorite shows and actors

· Disqus, which allows users to share comments and Tonys website content with their friends via Facebook, Twitter, and email

· In partnership with BroadwayWorld.com, users can interact with the Tony Awards via mobile apps on iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices, as well as on the mobile site: m.tonyawards.com. Users on-the-go can view the latest videos, news, nominee/winner updates and learn all about this year's nominated shows.

The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 13, 2010.

The 2010 American Theatre Wing's Tonys Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. At The Broadway League, Paul Libin is Chairman and Charlotte St. Martin is Executive Director. At the American Theatre Wing, Theodore S. Chapin is Chairman and Howard Sherman is Executive Director. For Tony Award Productions, Alan Wasser and Allan Williams of Alan Wasser Associates are the General Managers.

Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment are Executive Producers of the 2010 Tony Awards. Mr. Weiss will also serve as Director of the 2010 Tony Awards.
