2010 MAC Award winner, Tom Rocco, will be celebrating the release of his live-recording CD, "My Big, Fat, Proposition 8 Wedding" with a show at The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd St. between 5th and 6th Avenues) on Wednesday night, May 25th, at 7:00pm.
This evening of songs (some familiar, some lesser-known) and light-hearted anecdotes follows Rocco's unconventional path to wedded bliss. And by the end of the night you'll likely ask yourself: "Is it really all that unconventional? It sounds just like my (fill in with the adjective/expletive of your choice) marriage." A Broadway and off-Broadway veteran, Rocco has been seen on cabaret stages all over NYC and has recently been hitting the road with this show. He's also performed at fundraisers for The Trevor Project, Human Rights Campaign and Equal Rights Washington.
Joining him at The Metropolitan Room will be his Musical Director, Deana Muro, as well as drummer Dave Silliman and bassist Jeff Carney.
