Patty Griffin's newly released album "Children Running Through" debuted at #34 in the Billboard Top 200. Over 27,000 records were sold in its first week of release, marking the biggest debut of the celebrated singer/songwriter's career. Griffin is currently on a U.S. tour and recently played a sell out concert at New York's Beacon Theater.
Irene Molloy, Matthew Morrison, Skipp Sudduth and Mare Winningham star in the new musical, which, according to press materials, "tells the story of Duane (Morrison) and Molly's (Molloy) road trip in an old pick-up truck from the southern tip of Florida to the Northwest corner of New York, with many detours along the way. With a book by Keith Bunin and songs by Patty Griffin, the world premiere of this new musical explores the pursuit of love and family, and the geography of the American dream."
