John Hughes meets Sarah Silverman meets The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee in this musical ode to teenage angst. With awkward silences, dirty humor and bodily fluids, The Science Fair Project reminds us what it’s like to be young and stupid.

A mid-1600s Spanish sailor, an Asian American hip-pop diva, an 8-year-old Chinese adoptee, and a 1960s Taiwanese Barbie doll factory worker collide across time and space in this solo show investigation of beauty, bodies, and Barbie.

Award-winning magician Vinny DePonto goes beyond illusion to serve up mysterious delights in this transporting evening of charming deceptions. A taste of 19th century wonder awaits in this delectable night of magic and mystery.

This performance comes to you as part of ANT Fest, Ars Nova's month-long Festival of All New Talent!

Specializing in a hyper-articulate, nerdy, post-modern brand of musical comedy, this female-fronted group sings about love, deceptive boyfriends, Macaulay Culkin and the mastery of the homemade bong. Folk sing-a-longs and catchy pop jams are merely the metaphorical table holding up this buffet of wordplay, wit and rapid-fire cultural references.

ANT FEST: Showgasm
June 14 @ 10pm, $5
 
Dive head first into a late night incarnation of Ars Nova’s infamous neo-vaudeville show-meets-party where you’ll experience cutting-edge comedy, music, theater, burlesque and everything in between. Meet this year’s festival talent while enjoying the rowdiest variety show in town. Tickets are only $5 but if you see the 8 pm show that night (Summer and Eve), admission is free!

A troupe of young artists revisits voices of the past and attempts to reconcile our nation’s history in this celebration of an elusive America. Tales from tenement Manhattan, Depression-era Utah, and rural 1950s Indiana are woven together in this wistful new folk-rock musical.
