If you want to show your kids that you can fly to the moon and get to the bottom of the sea just by standing on a table, "Cantando sobre la mesa" is the show you want to take them to see.

Hugo Midón and Carlos Gianni have produced a lot of shows. To say that they are only meant to be seen by kids is definitely a misconception.

Their stories and characters may seem simple, but there are many levels to the poetry and the humor they bring to the table.

"Cantando sobre la mesa" is not an exception.

In a cast that knows how to work together, all the names are worth mentioning. Cecilia Carrizo, Martín Ruiz, Juan Manuel Besteiro, Nicolás Serraiti, Laura Bertonazzi, Nicolás Acosta and Agustina Berenguer take the stage and give it their all. The company takes us by the hand and through them we hop on a train, walk on the moon, see into the characters homes and lay on the beach. Their harmonies and movement are perfect and their characters are fun and interesting, catching our eyes at all times.

As part of one of the generations that grew up seeing Midón and Gianni's work, it was extremely touching to know that they are and will keep on being current, making children laugh, making their parents think, and giving them all art and music to share.

They brought my family and I closer through the years and I could see, being in that audience, that the magic didn't only happen for us.

Argentina will keep singing their songs, and so will I.
