October 13 the Meyer Theatre recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month with The D-Cup Diatribes, a one-woman comedy play by Melody Swink which explores the lives of eight strong and feisty women dealing with their relationships with their bodies.
The play examines the advantages and disadvantages of size, enhancements, mother/daughter relationships, expectations and inheritances, breast cancer awareness and empowerment and the modern male marketing agenda. The Meyer Theatre describes the event as "our cleavage culture explored." D-Cup Diatribes is in partnership with the American Cancer Society. The event will raise money to support breast cancer awareness and prevention. Five dollars of every ticket sold will go to the American Cancer Society.
