The Fireside Theatre, the Midwest's professional musical theater and fine dining destination, presents another Wisconsin premiere with a brand new musical, The Witnesses. This musical and storytelling journey about the early years of the Christian church will run from July 9 through August 23, 2009. The Witnesses features music and lyrics by Danny Hamilton, and book by Gary Richardson, creators of last season's production of The Rock & The Rabbi which played to sold-out audiences. As always, each show comes with an unparalleled dining experience, access to several specialty boutiques within The Fireside, and safe, convenient, free parking. For information on showtimes, menus and tickets, or to reserve your seats, call 800-477-9505 or visit www.firesidetheatre.com.

As seen through the eyes of Peter and Paul, the Storyteller in The Witnesses takes audiences on an adventure that began in Jerusalem with the disciples, through the first year of the Christian church and the wonders and dangers of life in the first century. The Witnesses also features talented singers and live musicians playing acoustic and percussion instruments. World music and masterful storytelling combine to make this 90-minute new musical compelling and inspiring theatre for the whole family.

The Fireside's production of The Witnesses features the talents of the show's composer, lyricist and music director Danny Hamilton live onstage, as well as writer Gary Richardson as the Storyteller. Richardson and Hamilton hail from Florida, but are excited to be coming back to The Fireside after last season's debut of The Rock & The Rabbi. "We were amazed at the reception we received last year at this beautiful theatre," said Gary Richardson. "Audiences embraced our message, our music, and inspired us to continue to be Witnesses to the good news," he continued. "We're blessed to know the Klopcic family and to join in spreading the Word here in Wisconsin."

Tickets are on sale for the rest of The Fireside Theatre's 2009 season, including:

The Sound of Music: Rodgers and Hammerstein's immortal classic about the Von Trapp Family Singers, featuring, "My Favorite Things", "Edelweiss", and "Climb Every Mountain."

Here's Love - The Miracle on 34th Street Musical: the popular holiday movie comes to life as a musical written by the creator of The Music Man, teaching us all to believe in the magic of the season.

Since 1964, The Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin has been the premiere entertainment destination in the Midwest for superb musicals featuring Broadway performers, fine dining, and boutique shops in a one-of-a-kind setting. Consistently named as a top destination for travel tours across the United States, The Fireside is owned by the Klopcic family, who were awarded the distinction of "America's Best Restaurant Family" by Jones Dairy Farm and the Culinary Institute of America in 2006.
