The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is set to announce that Jim Tyrone and Mike Waite will join the nonprofit organization's board of directors under the leadership of a new Board Chairman, John Hogerty. Former chair, Mike Weller, fulfilled his leadership commitment and will remain active on the Center's board of directors.
"We have been blessed with several excellent chair persons since opening in 2002, and I'm excited to work with John," said Susan Stockton, president of the Fox Cities P.A.C. "John's been very active on our board of directors and brings a strong desire to serve the Fox Cities community to his latest leadership role." Stockton is also pleased to welcome the Center's new board members saying, "Jim Tyrone and Mike Waite will be great additions to our board of directors."
The Center's previous chairman, Mike Weller, believes the organization is in great hands as it plans for the 2012/13 Season and beyond. "As a board member, a ticket buyer and someone who enjoys living in this community, I feel that John Hogerty is an excellent choice for my replacement as chairman. The board and staff of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center run a tight ship, and John will be a great asset to the organization."
John J. Hogerty, II is the executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Bergstrom Corporation and serves on Bergstrom Corporation's executive committee. He has been with Bergstrom Corporation since 1995 and was promoted to his current position in 2000. Before joining Bergstrom, Hogerty practiced law with a large regional law firm headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. He is a board member at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and the Fox Cities Exhibition Center and has served as Board Chairman of the United Way Fox Cities. Hogerty lives with his wife Morgan and their three children in Menasha, Wisconsin.
Jim Tyrone is the senior vice president of Appleton Papers Inc. and joined the company in 2010. Prior to his position at Appleton, Tyrone held a variety of executive roles throughout his 18 year career in the paper industry including NewPage Corporation, MeadWestvaco Papers Group and Mead Corporation. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in 1977 and his MBA from Harvard University in 1983. Tyrone is married to his college sweetheart, Nancy and they have two children, Kaydi and Virginia.
Mike Waite currently serves as the president of Menasha Packaging Company, LLC which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Menasha Corporation. He started with the company in 1981 as a product manager and has held a variety of sales and marketing roles in Menasha's plastic and packaging businesses. Waite serves on the board of the Fiber Box Association, Menasha Corporation Foundation, The Chancellors Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and the Theda Clark Foundation. He is past president of Best Friends of Neenah/Menasha and served on the board of Future Neenah, Inc. He and his wife Julie reside with their family in Menasha.
The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center's board of directors oversees the nonprofit organization. The mission of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is to serve as a gathering place for the community to engage in educational opportunities and enhance understanding and enjoyment of life through the creation and presentation of the arts.
