The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center has been named number 16 on Venues Today's year-end list of Top Stops for venues with 2,001 – 5,000 seats. Venues Today, a leading international entertainment trade publication, rated venues based on potential capacity and gross sales from concerts and other events between October 16, 2009 – October 15, 2010. This is the third time in the last four years the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center has received this honor.
"It is an honor to again be listed among the Top Stops by Venues Today in the 2,001 – 5,000 seat category," said Susan Stockton, president of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. "It's great to see Appleton, Wisconsin alongside theaters with much larger capacities and in much larger metropolitan areas like Atlanta, Tampa and Las Vegas. The Fox Cities P.A.C. is really making a name for itself regionally, nationally and internationally, and we want to keep that momentum going with Wicked, Jersey Boys and great shows throughout the year."
The Center is one of three Wisconsin venues included in the 2010 report and the top performing Wisconsin venue in the 2,001 – 5,000 seat category. Other Wisconsin venues listed include the Resch Center in Green Bay, listed as number 18 amongst venues with 10,001 – 15,000, seats and Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, listed as number 10 in the 30,001 or more seats category.
