The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center has announced a week of community conversation while teaming up with Spectrum Dance Theater. The Center invites the community to participate in public workshops, demonstrations and discussions designed to provoke meaningful dialogue about race and diversity in the community.
The week also includes a performance at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center featuring Spectrum Dance Theater performing Rambunctious 2.0, a work that uses the music of African-American composers to explore American tradition through movement.

Enjoy a presentation by Spectrum Dance Theater artistic director Donald Byrd and learn how the arts can help us engage in difficult conversations about race. This event is free and open to the public.

The Trout Museum of Art
Jason Adrians, editor/news director at The Post-Crescent will be conducting a panel discussion with featured voices Donald Byrd, artistic director of Spectrum Dance Theater, Maria Van Laanen, president of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and Kimberly Barrett, Ph.D., vice president for diversity and inclusion and associate dean of the faculty at Lawrence University. The group will discuss how the arts can play a role in creating conversation about social issues such as race. This event is free and open to the public.
The Spectrum Dance Theater residency also includes a Bemis Company Education Series performance and private events throughout the week.
