The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center is now accepting applications for a new Show & Tell program to capture local reviews of the Center's 2011/12 Season performances. The new program expands the Center's previous community reviewer program to include video reviews, written responses and live Twitter coverage of the Center's performances. The Center is also seeking a child/adult team to review the Center's family-friendly programming during the 2011/12 Season. The deadline to apply for Show & Tell has been extended until Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Visit foxcitiespac.com/events/show-and-tell for more information and an online application.
"With the growth of social media, people are sharing their performing arts experiences online with friends and neighbors. With Show & Tell we hope to expand that circle by providing a platform for people to connect with the performing arts and with each other," said Maria Van Laanen, executive vice president of the Fox Cities P.A.C. "Professional reviews are an important part of the performing arts industry, but its really everyday people that decide if a show is a hit."
Selected Show & Tell reviewers will be assigned specific performances and receive two complimentary tickets in exchange for posting their online reviews within 24 hours of the performance. Video reviews will be taped and edited by Center staff members following the performance. For more information on Show & Tell and a full events listing, visit foxcitiespac.com.
