The Capitol Civic Center of Manitowoc, Wisconsin has a number of upcoming events including the return of the Lettermen, a production of Roger Bean's ROUTE 66, and Celtic Legends.
The legendary singing trio "The Lettermen" will be at the Capitol for one performance Friday February 12, 2010 at 7 pm for "The Lettermen: A Romantic Evening." The Lettermen's melodic voices blend beautifully as one. They have been a Capitol audience favorite for years playing in front of sold out houses. On February 21st the Capitol Civic Center will present ROUTE 66 as a part of its Marquee Series.Take a dollop of GREASE and a generous dose of FOREVER PLAID on high octane and you've got the pedal-to the-metal, V-8 powered fun of Roger Bean's ROUTE 66. This performance features hilarious characters, wild antics and good old fashioned shtick along with the hit songs from the late-50's and early-60's: "Dead Man's Curve," "King of the Road," "Little Old Lady from Pasadena," "Six Days on the Road," "GTO," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "I Get Around" and of course, "Route 66."
Then, On February 27th the Marquee Series continues with Celtic Legends. Creative Director Michael Londra blends his Riverdance experience and a beautifully distinctive musical score with the choreography of Gerard Hayes, who thrilled the world touring as lead dancer in "Lord of the Dance" and "Feet of Flames," to produce this visually stunning theatrical performance.
Other upcoming events include Lakeshore Big Band- A Sentimental Journal, Some Enchanted Evening Presented by Masquers Inc., and Diva Nation.
