Perseverance Theatre's Young Company presents Fredrick Gaines's spooky adaptation of Washington Irving's classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, November 15-18, 2012 on the Second Stage at Perseverance Theatre.
Ichabod Crane, a bumbling eccentric schoolmaster, moves to a superstitious town haunted by a headless horseman. As a Puritan who frequently quotes leaders of the Salem Witch Trials, Ichabod insists he is not superstitious. One night, a dark figure on horseback follows him home. Ichabod screams in terror, giving voice to his fears and superstitions. The next morning, all that remains of Ichabod Crane is his small tricorn hat and the sound of his voice.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will run from November 15-18 with performances Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm, and a Sunday matinee at 2pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and will be available at the door.
