K.D. Lang to Perform at Alaska Center for Performing Arts, 9/16

Country music star k.d. lang will be performing at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts on September 16 at 7:30 pm.  Lang is a controversial country music star, known for her androgynous looks and edgy approach to country music. Aside from enjoying such country hits as "Full Moon of Love" and "Constant Craving," her other projects have included writing the soundtrack to the film Even Cowgirls Get the Blues as well as appearing on Pee Wee Herman's Christmas Special in 1988.

ABOUT THE ALASKA CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS:
The Alaska Center for the Performing Arts opened its doors to the public in 1988. Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., a non-profit organization hired by the Municipality of Anchorage, manages the facility. ACPA, Inc. schedules space use in the building, provides production management and technical expertise, sells tickets, and cleans up after the more than 200,000 patrons who enjoy the facility annually.
