Almost Adults ProductionsHuman Rights Alliance, and LiveArts are joining forces for Pride Month for Queer Alphabet: An LGBTQIA Short Play Reading Program. This diverse collection of short works includes international and multigenerational comedies and dramas to celebrate inclusivity within a diverse community.  Two of the plays are world premieres. The program will be accompanied by virtuoso local pianist Andre Garcia-Nuthmann.

Program is as followsLovers and Survivors by Aaron Leventman (Santa Fe, NM) about two friends spanning 50 years who survive the AIDS crisis together; Wabi Sabi by Rachael Carnes (Portland, OR) which addresses teenage gender identity as two previous friends reconnect in high school; Bisexual Sadness by India Kotis (New York, New York) about the about the uncomfortable tensions between personal and social identity; Slow Dating by Adam Szudrich (Australia) about an elderly woman tries speed dating and it leads to a night with a charming stranger; Switching Sides by Terry McFadden (L.A., CA,) which is a sort of intergenerational coming out story about a father and son; A is for Ah Ha….. by written and performed by Marguerite Louis Scott (Santa Fe, NM) that address the “A” in LGBTQIA; and Cruel Matriarch by Ariana Roybal (Santa Fe, NM) that deals with a lesbian couple dealing with homophobia within their families. 

Other talent involved includes Dan Gee Husson, Chase Reeser, Zoe Burke, Hannah Machado, John O’Donnell, Talia Pura, Gabrielle Maisels, Cristina Vigil, Emily Rankin, Taylor Nelson, and Teagan Wetzel.
