Actors Studio 66, Albuquerque's newest live theater Company, invites you to its’ inaugural production: LIFE SUCKS, a play by Aaron Posner. Described as “the perfect play for the perfect time”, the production is "sort of an adaptation from Uncle Vanya, by Anton Chekov." The production is a comedy that takes on the challenges of everyday life when dealing with issues like love, purpose, sadness, loneliness, and the longing for happiness we all seek; a theme the Company feels will resonate with everyone these days.
The theater company was founded in the summer of 2021. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, the Company's mission is to work within the realm of "Socially Relevant Theatre."
The cast of LIFE SUCKS includes local New Mexico actors and the show's Director, Frederick Ponzlov (who is also a local acting instructor), does a turn as an actor by portraying The Professor.
LIFE SUCKS opens on April 7th, 2022 at the Black Cat Cultural Center space at 3011 Monte Vista Blvd., NE, Albuquerque, 87106. Tickets are $20 and there is a “Pay-What-You-Will” night, April 14th, with all proceeds going to the Actors.
