Hedwig and The Angry Inch at Musical Theatre Southwest

Called groundbreaking and ahead of its time by Entertainment Weekly, this genre-bending, fourth-wall-smashing musical sensation has a pulsing score and electrifying performances and tells the story of one of the most unique characters to ever hit the stage. The 2014 Broadway production starred Albuquerque native Neil Patrick Harris in the title role and was directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening) and won four 2014 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical. Time Magazine proclaimed it to be the most exciting rock score written for the theatre since, oh, ever! The MTS production will star Jonathan Gallegos as Hedwig and Kir Kipness aa Yitzhak. The show also features an onstage band, with Laurie Lopez on keyboard, Chris Deminsky on guitar, Matt Jeager on bass and Hovey Corbin on drums. Hedwig is under the Direction of by Brian Clifton and is Stage Managed by Tobanna Barker.
