Albuquerque, N.M. The Albuquerque Theatre Guild welcomes a new board member and a new theatre member to its community of live local theatre lovers, promoters and advocates.

Vicki Marie Singer of Musical Theatre Southwest has joined the ATG board as an organizational representative. Singer is a long time participant in the Albuquerque theatre scene, and a board member of and production stage manager for MTS. She also stage manages for several other theatres around Albuquerque. She often works on back stage crews, as a follow spot operator or as a production coordinator, as well.

The Cabaret Players, a mystery dinner theatre troupe, produces live and interactive performances into which guests are invited to immerse themselves by joining the cast. They also incorporate music and dance where appropriate. In joining ATG, The Cabaret Players brings theatre membership to 45. This is a record number of theatre members since the ATG was formed in 2007.

The Albuquerque Theatre Guild is an award winning 501(c)(3), non-profit umbrella organization dedicated to making the Albuquerque area's rich live-theatre scene better known to both residents and visitors alike. In just five short years, the all-volunteer, highly creative ATG has grown to include close to 50 live theatre companies and venues, as well as over a hundred individual theatre practitioners.

The ATG publicizes the breadth and variety of local theatre in a twice-yearly guide, through its website and social media, on radio and television, at numerous community events like Free Night of Theatre and via the Theatre Lovers Community - a group ATG formed for its most devoted audiences. ATG also invites students to preview performances and supports local high school drama programs. ATG embraces the gamut of theatre from professional to community theatre and student productions. The ATG received a 2012 Creative Bravos People's Choice Award from Creative Albuquerque.
