The Flying J Wranglers holiday show at Spencer Theater on Thursday, December 21 features rich melodious western yodeling, vocals, fiddle and guitars in a program of seasonal favorites and new and classic western/cowboy Christmas songs, instrumentals and homespun comedy.
Taking center stage at 7 p.m., the night's gorgeous program will include classics like "White Mountain Christmas," "Mary Did You Know," "Got Tell It On The Mountain," "Joy To The World," "Silent Night" and "Children, Go Where I Send Thee," as well as stunning instrumentals of "Carol of the Bells" and "Greensleeves," and cowboy heritage melodies including "Christmas for Cowboys," "Riding Up the Christmas Trail" and "Tonight's Christmas Eve."

Featuring six outstanding musicians and vocalists, The Flying J Wranglers are: James Hobbs, a singer/songwriter and rhythm guitarist; his wife Cindy Hobbs, a distinguished three-octave vocalist and WMA National Western Style Yodel Champion (and comical sketch character); the renowned multi-instrumentalist and former South Plains College music professor Tim McCasland on guitar, banjo and steel guitar; cowboy Roy Black on bass guitar and lead baritone; fiddler and vocalist Corinna Ripple, and baritone vocalist Greg Meeks.
Since first making camp at The Flying J Ranch in 1982, more than a million summertime visitors to Lincoln County have enjoyed the troupe's home-cooked chuckwagon meals and western music stage shows. Their Christmas concerts are in demand, too - a seasonal gift to audiences in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas that started with the Spencer's first Flying J Christmas presentation in 2003.
