On August 21st & 22nd SBG Productions producers of the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival and Taos Ski Valley Chamber of Commerce proudly present the 3rd Annual Taos Mountain Music festival. Northern New Mexico's music event of the summer features headliners Matisyahu, Railroad Earth, Ozomatli, and Leftover Salmon. Additional festival performances include Donna the Buffalo, Jackie Greene Duo, Afroman, Orgone, Dangermuffin, Langhorne Slim, Shannon McNally and Hot Sauce, Ryan McGarvey and Mariachi Luz de Luna.
"We are really excited about the lineup this year," said Steve Gumble, Festival Director. "This weekend has some amazing musical talent and great late night shows featured at the Festival campground and local venues."
The Taos Mountain Music Festival is a two-day outdoor festival situated at the base of Taos Ski Valley, surrounded by national forest with the beautiful backdrop of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. This two-day celebration in the mountains hosts an amazing weekend of music, entertainment, and family fun activities for all ages to enjoy.
Festival attendees can enjoy the festival's marketplace, where they can shop for crafts from local artisans, sample food from top area vendors and restaurants, and kids can enter the "Kidzone," to go wild in the jumpy castle, get their faces painted, and play games all weekend long.
There will be late night music featured after the main stage both in Taos Ski Valley and in the campgrounds. Late Night shows featured in the campgrounds are free to all campers when a camping pass is purchased.
"We wanted to make the campground more appealing for the campers, and what better way to do this then to add a free concert for Friday and Saturday nights," said Gumble, Festival Director.
Two-day passes, VIP Two-day passes, Single Day tickets, Camping and RV passes are on sale now. Children 11 years old and younger are FREE and must be accompanied by an adult.
Taos Ski Valley offers many lodging choices from hotels to condos to private homes for larger groups attending the festival. Many lodges are offering inclusive packages including festival weekend passes. "You will have to be quick to find a room in the valley for the festival, they are booking up very fast," says Alyson Hyder Executive Director of Taos Ski valley Chamber of Commerce.
