Santa Fe Students from six high schools and Upstart Cows of Santa Fe have been preparing scenes and speeches for the Youth Shakespeare Festival Santa Fe since the start of the school year.
The Shakespeare Open Mic is a warm-up for these young Shakespeareans and a fundraiser for the Festival. Guest artists-local and visiting Shakespeareans-will share the microphone and perform five-minute soliloquies and small scenes from Twelfth Night, Othello, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest, and more!Bring your friends and family, enjoy the great food and drink, and be amazed by what these young people are doing.
If you'd like, prepare your own short Shakespeare piece and take a turn on stage! Second Street Brewery will donate a dollar from every beer purchased and a percentage of proceeds for the evening to the Festival.Director, Youth Shakespeare Festival
