Featuring some of the quickest, most expressive legs in the world, "Murphey's Celtic Legacy" is a percussive dance-off that reinvigorates traditional Irish Dance. The elaborate stage production stars a cast of 20+ dancers and musicians from such sensations as "Riverdance" and "Lord of the Dance," and bursts with riveting jigs, reels and haunting ballads. Created by Chris Hannon, former principal dancer for "Lord of the Dance," "Murphy's Celtic Legacy" is drawn from Irish folklore and centers on an original tale developed by Hannon, who is the show's dance lead. The tale culminates with an epic battle between good and evil, a stand-off prompted by Kings & Queens, rebels and magic. The Murphy clan are at the heart of the drama as they flee the corrupt tyrants of their native Eire in search of a better future, a quest for peace that vanquishes evil.
Together with Hannon's unique and fabulous fusion of choreography, a number of original compositions by acclaimed Irish musicians John Elliott and Gerry Conlon make "Murphey's Celtic Legacy" an unforgettable night of artistry.
