Guided by a Host (or three or four), the evening will present a flowing (we hope) array of genres and wealth of talent including (in no determined order): troupe members Greg Sonnenfeld, Johny Broomdust, Sarah Meadows, Greg Lopez, Ferg, Jessica Scarlett Harms, Chris Diestler, Yvette Martinez with writing from second time newcomer Danette Sills, as well as our resident musician Gregg Turner with his singers Krissie Pardue & Amy Johnson, long time Julesworker storyteller Patrick Chavez, dancer Jacqueline Almond & singer Stuart Caruthers.
Our Special Musical Guest will be Terry Diers a well known lively bluesy rock show man. Terry played at our second year bash at the Santa Fe Playhouse and gigs all around town and beyond.
The Julesworks Core Troupe will present more original sketches, many with recurring characters and spread throughout the night including:
-Depressed Shakespeare by Jules with Scarlett. A young possible muse discovers Shakespeare in a sullen self doubting mood
-Madame's Shakespeare Academy by Jules with Danette also starring Meadows & Scarlett An old fashioned approach to teaching Shakespeare, or is it?....
-Shakespeare's Cheerleaders by Meadows with Diestler & Broomdust Yes, they are real.
-ROMEO and JULIET, "DELETED SCENE" aka She's not My Girlfriend Dude by Diestler, with Sonnenfeld, Jules & Meadows.
- The Folio by Greg Paroff with Jules & Scarlett..Paroff performed in earlier Julesworks mostly doing his beloved Shakespeare Rap, before moving East, where he still lives, but he generously offered us to perform this relevant fun scene.
Source material includes:
-Not Python ( We Are) Returns with Bogus Psychiatrists Hamlet Sketch: Sonnenfeld, Diestler, Meadows, Jules, Lopez & Broomdust with Yvette & Ferg...The famed UK troupe had Hamlet seeking therapy.
-Hitchhiker's Guide Snippets: Jules, Broomdust, Meadows, Sonnenfeld, or Lopez Serialized on-going presentation of Douglas Adams BBC Radio Teleplay.
-F for for Exams led by Yvette & Ferg with Ensemble, presenting real snippets of actual student answers to normally simple questions.
On-Going Segments include: the serialized last minute playlet Chatting with God, Julesworks Revisionist History, and Cat Talk, where the hosts Johny Broomdust and Jules will answer audience questions with help from Hostess Sarah Oprah Vana Meadows about...cats, an homage to the beloved Car Talk show.
The Open Slot Slot will carry on to possibly allow a quick piece by interested audience members.
