"HAIR" - The rock musical that sparked a revolution and ignited a generation is back! All the original hits and new songs rediscovered from the original production - all played live by The Tribe, lending the show raw energy and immediacy. This new production returns to its rebellious and provocative roots! Although initially performed in 1967, the universal themes of individuality, experimentation and acceptance in the face of oppression are just as resonant today.

This Tony-winning musical takes center stage at the Spencer Theater on Sunday, March 2 at 3 p.m. Excellent seats are available for $79 & $76. Call the Spencer Box Office at 575.336.4800 or go online to www.spencertheater.com for tickets.

When "HAIR" premiered, the show was controversial for its portrayal of integration and free-love. But it since has gone on to be praised for these very things, and this national tour brings the positive message of love and peace to audiences throughout the country.

Updated for 2014 by the original creator Jim Rado, experience "HAIR" like you have never seen before! "HAIR" depicts the birth of a cultural movement in the turbulent 60's that changed America forever. Follow The Tribe, a diverse group of free-spirited, politically active hippies who live a bohemian life and passionately preach a lifestyle of pacifism and free-love in a conservative society riddled with intolerance, brutality and the looming draft of the Vietnam War. "It's bold, brash, youthful and defiant - a great fun night out!", enthuses producer David Galpern.

All the chart-topping songs that became anthems of counter-culture and the sexual revolution are back including "Aquarius," Let the Sun Shine in," "Good Morning, Starshine" and "Easy to be Hard". This new production includes the restoration of two songs not included in the later Broadway production. Music Director, Mark Camilleri's new arrangements of many of the songs signals a return to the roots of the music.

"HAIR" co-creator James Rado comments on this new production in 2014, "This new "HAIR" script is well-oiled and finely-calibrated, with subtle new twists of plot and character and the restoration of two songs not included in the recent Broadway version This production brings the show back to its origins. This is the best version of the script that is out there now."

"HAIR" will star Erik Kopacsi as Claude, Joshua Wiles as Berger, Eden Richmond as Sheila and Shahi Teruko as Dionne. Directed by Charles Roy and produced by Classical Theatre Project and Starvox Entertainment, the cast features an international cast consisting of Jos N. Banks, Emma Bartolomucci, Bruce Jones and Breton Lalama. The Tribe and musicians are: Ashley Arnett, Drew Bastian, John Bronston, Aurie Ceylon, Graham S. Fleming, Zachary Knowles, Susaye Lawson, Creg Sclavi.
