StoryHealers presents the first annual Santa Fe Solo Performance Festival at the SilverStarlight Lounge and Cabaret September 21st through the 24th, 2011 with three shows given nightly at 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm.
The four-day festival will showcase one-person theatrical performances from some of the top solo performers in the U.S. and Canada. Tracey Erin Smith, best of show winner for two years running at the Toronto Fringe Festival, will premiere her new one-woman show "Snug Harbor".
Stacey Bernstein, also from Toronto, Canada, will perform her "Everything I Never Knew I Wanted" with additional performances from local favorite Deb Heikes in "The White Trash Monologue", Ann Marie Houghtailing from San Diego, CA in "Renegade Princess", Doug Vincent from Boulder, CO in "Dad", and Gray from San Francisco, CA in "Self-ish".
Doug Vincent and Gray will present improvisational classes and Tracey Erin Smith will conduct an abbreviated version of her famous Soul-O Theatre Workshop on Saturday, September 24th.
Solo performance and monologue theatre has become the fastest growing segment of the world wide theatre community. StoryHealers, a new Production Company created by Producing Artistic Director Tanya Taylor Rubinstein, will present this annual festival to showcase the best in contemporary solo performance, alternative stand-up comedy and innovative performance art to Northern New Mexico audiences.
