Experience Rhythm and Dance with HANDSIGHT

This is a first creative collaboration between long time friends pan drum musician Saffire Bouchelion and movement artist Lynn Gravatt.

Join us for a Magical HandPan Journey accompanied by dance, aerial hoop, and LED flow arts. Bring a instrument and join in the music jam following the performance.

Saffire says "I have been playing these beautiful instruments for over 7 years. Their depth and range never cease to amaze me. Their very sound is alchemical in nature, like metal becoming water, becoming air, which has a very interesting effect on the listener, relaxing and trance like while being activating at the same time. I'm so excited to share this sonic journey with you. During the performance those present will have the opportunity to explore some rhythmic structures and join our voices together in song/chant. The amazing Lynn Gravatt will be adding her aerial and dance to the performance!"

About the Artists: Saffire Bouchelion is a professional performer and musician who has been featured on 48 CDs. He is also a 1st Degree Black Belt Nia instructor who has been passionately practicing Nia for 18 years. His embodiment and transmission of music and rhythm stir profound transformation in his students. He has taught Drumming, Embodying Rhythm and Dance into Being workshops throughout the US, Europe, Mexico and Bali for the past 13 years. His greatest joy is helping to Embody the world, one Community at a time!

Lynn has been dancing for over 30 years and branched out into fire spinning/flow arts in 2013 and aerial arts in 2015. She trains at Wise Fool New Mexico and it s Nia Blue Belt who frequents StudioNia Santa Fe. She is creative director of the non-profit An Ascension Space which aims to uplift through somatic movement, performance art, and holistic education. She is a Kundalini Reiki Master and has a Masters in Aerospace Engineering. Her critical thinking skills and holistic lifestyle allow her to relate to a diverse population.
