Authors taking part in the Winter Institute include Margaret Atwood, Erica Jong, Layli Longsoldier, Douglas Preston, and many more.
On January 10, GennaRose Nethercott presents a book length poem of modern folklore, The Lumberjack's Dove, about a lumberjack who has lost his hand, which Louis Gluck named a National Poetry Series winner. Interpretive puppetry will be included.
January includes musical acts Sage and Jared's Happy Gland Band on January 20 and the Bookshop Band from Britain, a two-piece that sings about literature, on January 23 at noon. Nashville recording artist Robert Hunter brings his story to the store on January 22, on his Relapse + Revival Tour.

Other kids events this month include our weekly story time on Thursdays at 10:30, which is always free for the whole family and includes stories, songs, and snacks.
