Blackout Theatre Presents 24/7- A Series Of 7 Plays 11/7

BLACKOUT THEATRE is proud to present: 24/7- a series of 7 plays by 7 different theatre companies that will all be written, rehearsed and performed in just 24 hours. Beginning Friday November 6th and 7pm with a kickoff party and reading of the rules, playwrights from each of the seven representative companies will begin writing a ten minute play. Once written, it will immediately begin to be rehearsed, edited, and designed to be performed the following night, November 7th at 7 and 9pm.

Said BLACKOUT THEATRE Artistic Director, Jeff Andersen: "This production is really an incredible opportunity to show Albuquerque what a vibrant and diverse theatre community we have. We have, in this town, such a bevy of talented writers, designers, actors, and directors, that we thought that 24/7 would really be a way to showcase those talents. It also fosters a sense of community because it's seven different companies coming together to create something really exciting."

In addition to BLACKOUT THEATRE, participating theatre companies will include: SCRAP from the University of New Mexico, APOCRASY THEATRE, CARDBOARD PLAYHOUSE, KA-HOOTZ, SOL ARTS, AND TEATRO PARAGUAS.

24/7 will kick off Friday November 6th at 7pm with a party with all the participating companies. This is where official rules and requirements for each of the plays will be given out. The public is welcome to attend. Performances of these WORLD PREMIERE plays by New Mexican playwrights and companies will begin at 7pm and 9pm on Saturday November 7th. Tickets for this one-time only event are only $5.00!
