American Southwest Theatre Company presents a special one night only screening of the cult-classic film, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" on Friday, April 9 at the Hershel Zohn Theater on the NMSU campus.
A cult classic, the film follows one fateful evening in the lives of a clean-cut, newly engaged couple (Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick) as their car breaks down outside of transvestite Dr. Franke N. Furter's (Tim Curry) castle. A movie musical, the film includes classic songs such as "Sweet Transvestite" and "The Time Warp."
Admission is $5 and movie-goers are encouraged to dress in costume for a costume contest held before the screening. Special "Rocky Horror" prop bags will be available for sale at the theater. Door prizes also will be given away.
Doors will open for ticket sales at 7 p.m. Music on the front patio by Ninth Trybe/SLi Productions (dj young cush, dj domdada and dj Trouble) at 8 p.m. The contest and film will begin at 9 p.m.
