Fall means new seasons for the over 40 member companies of the Albuquerque Theatre Guild. Fall also means the new edition of the Albuquerque Spotlight on Live Theatre. Debuting tonight, September 5, 2012 at the official release party at the ACVB Business Exchange from 5-7 p.m. at the Barcelona Suites, 900 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Spotlight features information on ATG member theatre companies along with their performance schedules. The brochures are distributed at hundreds of venues throughout the city, including the lobbies of member theatres, visitor information centers throughout the state, hotels, retail stores, libraries, restaurants, and senior centers - anywhere theatre lovers will see them.

"ATG member theatres present an amazing variety of live theatre – the original reality TV - whether it's the latest Broadway hit, a world premiere by a famous playwright or something your children will remember the rest of their lives," says Hugh Witemeyer, President of the Albuquerque Theatre Guild. "Check out Spotlight, gather your friends and family, and see how real people, live on stage (maybe even someone you know), can make your experience in the theatre unforgettable."

The Albuquerque Theatre Guild is an award winning 501(c)(3), non-profit umbrella organization dedicated to making the Albuquerque area's rich live-theater scene better known to both residents and visitors alike. In just five short years, the all-volunteer, highly creative ATG has grown to include over 40 live theatre companies and venues, as well as over a hundred individual theatre practitioners. The ATG publicizes the breadth and variety of local theatre in a twice-yearly guide, through its website and social media, on radio and television, at numerous community events, and via the Theatre Lovers Community – a group ATG formed for its most devoted audiences. ATG also invites students to preview performances and supports local high school drama programs. ATG embraces the gamut of theatre from professional to community theatre and student productions. The ATG received a Creative Bravos People's Choice Award from Creative Albuquerque 2012.
