I'm loud, and I'm vulgar ... but I am not a monster
George, a Professor at a small college, and his wife Martha have just returned home from a Saturday night faculty function. "Party party" cries the drink-sodden Martha as the doorbell rings announcing the arrival of the young couple she has invited to stop by for a nightcap. As the bourbon flows, it becomes clear that the dominating and lewd Martha and her embittered husband George are luring their guests into a manipulative web of savage mind games, from which no-one can escape unscathed.
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is one of the greatest American dramas of all time and has received almost every major theatre award including the Tony Award and the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play.
The Theatre Guild is delighted to welcome back director Geoff Brittain following his successful season of Miss Julie/After Miss Julie in 2014.
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a rollercoaster of a drama that will both shock and amuse - drop in for drinks and brace yourself!
