Museum of Hope is a memorial to South Australian LGBTIQA+ lives lost to prejudice in the 50 years from when homosexuality was decriminanlised in South Australia on 27 August 1975.
Presented by Eric Kuhlmann in collaboration with Kirsten Uhrig and creative advisor Simon Biggs, Museum of Hope is a new yet timeless memorial that blends the universality of memorials with distinct and overlapping interactive timelines. It represents an experiment in using computer code as an artistic medium to create immersive, interactive environments. This inSPACE development marks the first step towards the final memorial, scheduled to be presented as part of Feast Festival 2025.
