Faulty Towers The Dining Experience - AFF 2025 at The Terrace Hotel Adelaide

Fifty years on from first gracing television screens, Fawlty Towers continues to delight audiences the world over. Adelaide audiences will once again get to experience the international sensation, Faulty Towers The Dining Experience, as it returns to the Adelaide Fringe from 21 February till 23 March. The longest running show at the Fringe, experience for yourself why this show returns every year to packed audiences.  

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is the highly interactive experience, where audiences enjoy a 3-course meal and 5-star comedy. Described by the British Comedy Guide as “fresh comedic invention, riffing on ideas from the original TV series, then adding their own punchlines.” the show has been seen by over a million people worldwide since the very first show at the Ridges Hotel in Brisbane on 24 April 1997. From its roots in Brisbane, the show has grown into one of Australia's greatest theatre exports, captivating audiences worldwide.

2024 saw the shows West End run in London pick up another award, as it continues its record breaking run as the longest running immersive production in London. In 2025 the show marks 28 years of non-stop touring worldwide, entering its 13th year in London – cementing its place as a must-see show for locals and tourists alike. It is also the longest-running Fawlty Towers production of ANY KIND running worldwide.

When the audience become diners in the ‘Faulty Towers’ restaurant, pretty much anything can happen – because 70% of the show is improvised. The fun starts as guests wait to be seated. It then hurtles along in a 2-hour tour de force of gags and shambolic service as Basil, Sybil and Manuel serve a ‘70s-style 3-course meal together with a good dollop of mayhem.

Producer Jared Harford says: “2025 is a special year for Fawlty Towers. In this Golden Jubilee year, we are so excited to return once again to Adelaide – the place that gave us the confidence to launch our international touring, and launched our success. As the longest running show of the Fringe, it is a privilege to return again mark our 18th season in style.”

The cast for 2024 includes  audience favourite Jed McKinney, Adelaide local Lara Dignam, Eilannin Harris-Black, and Scott Middleton.

Brisbane born in April 1997, the show is now an international institution, and tours Australia year round with 5 separate casts. The 2025 Australian tour includes the 13th return season to Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Comedy Festival, and performances as far as Alice Springs, Cairns, and Hobart, to name a few.

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is a loving tribute to Fawlty Towers, the BBC TV series written by Connie Booth and John Cleese. Their TV scripts are not used in Faulty Towers The Dining Experience. Faulty Towers The Dining Experience uses its own original scripts and format.
