How do you measure a man? Is it the way he walks, the way he talks? The critically-acclaimed Gavin Roach presents his one man show, The Measure of a Man, in The Arch, Holden Street Theatres, 34 Holden Street Hindmarsh, for three performances only on Thursday 22 November at 6:30pm, and Friday 23 and Saturday 24 at 8.00pm as part of the 2018 Feast Festival. Holden Street will be the theatre hub for Feast in 2018, continuing its program of new and challenging theatrical performances.
The Measure of a Man, was originally presented as a part of Melbourne's Midsumma Festival in 2016 to high critical acclaim, ahead of touring to Sydney, Perth, Hobart, Brisbane and Prague.
Told in Roach's trademark humorous, raw and deeply candid style, with direction by Lauren Hopley, The Measure of a Man stares into the heart of one man's sexual anxieties and pulls out the kinds of stories much LGBTI theatre shies away from - stories often shrouded in embarrassment or shame.
The Measure of a Man is highly recommended regardless of your gender, age or sexuality.
