Samba Social Club's Epic Street Party Takes Over Adelaide  Image

Hot summer nights in February are certainly the most Epic time to drop a super cool Samba street party right? So how about Live Samba takes over an entire city street with drumming, dancing and amazing good times!

This street party will undoubtedly be the largest and most intense edition of the Samba Social Club to date thanks to Adelaide Community Samba band SaSamba, Splash Adelaide and Call this Guy, this one is set to be one massive outdoor party!
What can you expect ?

  • The Biggest Bateria assembled in Australia, 'Unidos da Cacatua' (cacatua meaning cockatoo in Portuguese) is a specially formed Samba Collective whose participants have come from samba bands from all over Australia and New Zealand to perform at this event. This wall of live carnival Samba will be a performance in itself to behold.
  • For all our Sambasistas out there Samba social club will hosts a Samba freestyle dance competition, where through a selection of elimination dance opportunities to live drumming by SaSamba, we will Crown the Queen of the Samba's and present an amazing Handmade Brazillian Passista outfit provided by The Samba Shop.

SaSamba President Arnold Bonilla explains; "Building strong Samba community is the main goal of this collective, tearing down large geographic distances to create new empowering experiences, all based on the love for the samba rhythm. This is why they will meet, play, socialise and mingle to celebrate samba with their drums and share that love with the Adelaide community.

This is a FREE event but it is asked that you consider providing a donation on entry to the onsite charity partner the 'Cora Barclay Centre' to help support teaching deaf children in our communities with hearing difficulties to speak.
