Pelican Productions' Music Theatre Camp to Return with 'SEIZE THE DAY' Image

With nearly 500 budding performing artists taking part this year, Music Theatre Camp is an institution in the South Australian performing arts calendar for both performers and audiences each January.

Borne from the desire to foster up and coming young talent in the Adelaide performing arts scene, fourteen years ago Directors of Pelican Productions Jen Frith and Kylie Green conceived the idea of Music Theatre Camp. The aim is to provide training in singing, dance and acting with highly qualified professionals in the industry whilst further developing a love of theatre, teamwork and resilience. And of course, having lots of fun with friends in the process!

Since those humble beginnings, Music Theatre Camp (or MTC as it is affectionately known) has grown into a huge undertaking with a second week long program 'Spotlight' introduced two years ago to give even more kids the opportunity to take part. Both the 2 week camp and week-long Spotlight culminate in the performance of a medley of well-known stage shows by the six casts. The calibre of the shows are incredible and reviewers are always blown away by the quality that can be achieved in such a short rehearsal period.

The line-up for this year's show 'Music Theatre Camp - Seize The Day' is going to be a cracker and will feature a medley of stage shows including songs from the hugely popular Moana, Hair, Sister Act, Newsies, Hairspray and more.

Don't miss 'Music Theatre Camp 2018 - Seize The Day' January 18 to 21, playing at Michael Murray Centre - Westminster College, Alison Avenue, Marion.

Tickets are on sale now through pelicanproductions.com.au. Adults $35, Concession $30 and Children $25.
