The Pajama Game is a musical based on the novel 7½ Cents by Richard Bissell. The book is by George Abbott and Richard Bissell; the music and lyrics are by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The story deals with labor troubles in a pajama factory, where workers demands for a seven-and-a-half cent raise are going unheeded. In the midst of this ordeal, love blossoms between Babe, the grievance committee head, and Sid, the new factory superintendent.

The show includes the classic songs of Hey There, Once a year day, Hernando's hideaway, There once was a man and Steam Heat.

Sid Sorokin, the handsome new factory superintendent who falls in love with Babe, despite their being on opposite sides of the labor dispute central to the plot, is played by Buddy Dawson and Lauren Potter is Katherine "Babe" Williams, the leader of the Union Grievance Committee, who in turn falls in love with Sid.

Regular cast member Gus Smith plays Myron "Old Man" Hasler, the strict head of the pajama factory who keeps a secret and Nikki Gaetner Eaton returns to Northern Light as Gladys Hotchkiss, Hasler's attractive, quick-witted secretary, who dates Hines and is chased by Prez. Seb Cooper is Vernon Hines, the factory timekeeper, who thinks Gladys flirts too much and, as a result is always jealous and Rose Vallen is Mabel, the mother hen of the factory and Sid's secretary.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.northernlight.org.au or via phone on 8281 5026 (9am to 9pm). Tickets are also available through BASS on 131 246. Booking fees included.
