Marryatville High School Music Centre Presents Young Talent Showcase at Kent Town

For their concert at Concerts@Kent Town, 2pm 20 September, instrumentalists and vocal students from the award winning Marryatville HS Music Centre will perform a far ranging program of works varying from Beethoven to jazz, showing their versatility, diversity and talent.

2017 Eisteddfod

In June this year the Marryatville High School Music Centre distinguished itself by taking out four of the prestigious awards at the 2017 Eisteddfod with the large choir winning for the 7th year in a row. The Pops Vocal, Chamber Choir and Swingtones were award winners in the small choir section.

Music Centre
The award winning Marryatville High School Special Interest Music Centre comprises a music program for the identified musically gifted and a general music program embedded in a comprehensive high school.

In addition to choirs the other pillar of the music program is performing in instrumental ensembles. With over 20 to choose from, students are encouraged to engage in a variety of styles including Classical, Jazz and Contemporary music.

Graduates from this program have gone on to a variety of careers, but a number are professional musicians in Australia and oversees.

Concerts at Kent Town continue: Wednesday - 18 October at 2pm

Concerts at Kent Town are generously sponsored by: Smallacombe Sanderson, Frank and Elizabeth Brookes, UCInvest , Ferrari Formalwear and the Organ Music Society of Adelaide.

Tickets are $10 at door and Include afternoon tea.
