Magicians from the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Australian Society of Magicians band together to perform in an intimately table seated event at café, theatre-bar; Venue 63 for a night of magic and music.
"Magic Bob" on Friday, July 1, will feature musician Soursob Bob alongside other wizards; Kyle Germein, Drew Ames, John Burgess, the Bearded Urban Illusionist & Ry Bowie-Woodham; an Adelaide Great fire eater.
This fundraising event is in aide of raising much needed funds for the cast and crew of the Velvet Chase Productions France bound theatrical production; #nofilter. This work had its World Premiere as a part of Adelaide Fringe, 2016.
#nofilter was picked up by The Garage International to be showcased in Avignon contemporary Arts Festival's 70th year, this July.
Premised on normalising the discussion on mental illness, the revealing work is presented in a voyeuristic manner. Set to depict the happenings behind the scenes of a travelling circus, a mix of dance, theatre and film traverse the tales and lives of its participants in what has been described as a cutting edge, thought provoking and revealing work.
