International cabaret sensation Le Gateau Chocolat is throwing open the doors to his critically acclaimed new Adelaide Fringe show "ICONS" on Wednesday, March 11, offering free entry to anyone who turns up in costume as their own icon.

Whether you're a Marilyn Monroe type or more Madonna, an Audrey Hepburn lookalike or an Oprah wannabe, an Elvis impersonator or a double for Doctor Who - just dress up and turn up for a free show ticket, normally worth $35/$30 concession.

"In ICONS I celebrate my own personal icons from Kate Bush to Elvis, Madonna, Whitney Houston and even Meatloaf, exploring their impact on my life through song," Le Gateau said.

"As anyone who's seen my shows knows, I love getting dressed up, so I thought - why not let the audience celebrate their icons too? Let's make an iconic night together!"

Anyone wanting to take part should arrive in costume at The Deluxe in the Garden of Unearthly Delights on Wednesday, Mach 11, prior to the show's start time of 8.30pm. Once paying and pre-ticketed audience members have been admitted, costumed theatre-goers will be admitted to any remaining seats free of charge. But be warned, it's first in best dressed - literally!

Le Gateau Chocolat - ICONS runs at the Garden of Unearthly Delights until March 15. For tickets and further information go to www.adelaidefringe.com.au or www.gardenofunearthlydelights.com.au or call 1300 621 255.
