Italian Festival Carnevale Announces Carnevale Cup Lineup

Italians love their sport and this year we have many clubs competing in the Carnevale Cup, a unique round robin soccer competition for Under 12s - the only competition for this age group in the state.

There are 14 participating teams and the energy, enthusiasm and rivalry between them is palpable. Since its inception in 2011, Adelaide City has won three times - will they make it a quadrella?

Last year, for the first time, a team of girls competed and there is progress! There are two this year! Will one of these teams manage to wrest the Carnevale Cup away from their male counterparts?

Teams competing this year are Adelaide Blue Eagles, Adelaide Comets, Adelaide City boys, Adelaide City girls, Campbelltown City, Croydon Kings West, Fulham United boys, Fulham United girls, NE MetroStars 1, NE MetroStars 2, Raiders FC, West Adelaide, Western Strikers and West Torrens Birkalla.

Starting both days at 8.30am on the Adelaide Showground Oval this competition is not to be missed, so get on down there and cheer for your favourite team! Check out the website for the draw!
