Get ready to take an exciting culinary journey into the heart of Adelaide cuisine as six of Australia's most celebrated chefs present a special series of weekend lunches in the city's most unique new dining room - the Adelaide Festival's floating Riverbank Palais.
Held each weekend throughout the festival from March 3 to 19, and set on the River Torrens in the stunning surrounds of Elder Park, theRiverbank Palais Long Lunches will bring together some of the country's top chefs, all of whom have a distinct connection to Adelaide, for a spectacular summer celebration of South Australian food and wine.
Famed chefs Cheong Liew (Neddy's, The Grange), Cath Kerry (Petaluma, Art Gallery of SA Restaurant), Christine Manfield (Paramount, East@West, Universal), Mark Best (Marque, Pei Modern),
Michael Ryan (Range, Provenance) and Karl Firla (est. Restaurant, Oscillate Wildly) will each create a sumptuous three course menu featuring the best local produce, taking diners on a journey through their own culinary story while also paying tribute to the decade that started it all - the 1980s.
Curated by Gill Minervini (Dark MOFO Winter Feast, City of Sydney Events) in conjunction with food consultant Duncan Welgemoed(Africola, Lola's Pergola), the Long Lunches will be a major highlight of the Riverbank Palais program.
The Long Lunches are the first ticketed event to go on sale from the Riverbank Palais program, which will be released in full in January 2017.
