Yes, Spring has finally sprung, at least it did for a couple of days, but the welcome is always warm at the community Concerts@KentTown in Wesley Church Kent Town, Corner Fullarton Road and Grenfell Street, Kent Town, whose next concert is 2pm Wednesday 17 October. Tickets are $15 which includes a generous afternoon tea.

Hayden King: Since receiving his Bachelor Degree from the Elder Conservatorium in 2015, Temby trumpet artist. Hayden King has fast become one of the most in demand trumpet players and educators in Adelaide. As well as a busy performing life he also teaches and tutors whilst studying for his Masters Degree at the Elder Conservatorium.

Hayden started learning the trumpet at the age of 8, and at 12 years old was awarded a scholarship to attend Marryatville High School.

Since those early days he has progressed as an active freelance performer performing with many different groups taking principal roles with the Adelaide Wind Orchestra and the Norwood Symphony Orchestra, as well as various section positions with the Mike Stewart Big Band.

Hayden also has extensive performance experience in musical theatre, having played in the pit orchestra for shows such as Wicked (Matt Byrne Media), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Northern Light Theatre Company) and Fiddler On the Roof (Therry Theatre Company).

His program today will be: Sonata #3 by Allen Vizzutti and 4 Miniatures by Joseph Turrin.

Peter Kelsall is a well- known figure in Adelaide's music circles. As an organist Peter has given recitals in the Adelaide Town Hall, St. Peter's Cathedral, Pilgrim Church and at various locations for the Organ Music Society.
He has played with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra on many occasions, and with the Adelaide Art Orchestra.

Peter has also performed with many Adelaide choirs.


In 1995 he was appointed Organist and Choir Director at Pilgrim Uniting Church in the city where he continues to build on this church's strong musical tradition.

In December 2017 and January 2018 Peter directed the Choirs of Pilgrim Church and Christ Church North Adelaide on their English Cathedrals Tour. The Choirs sang Evensongs in some 10 English cathedrals, including Lincoln, Durham, Salisbury, Gloucester and York Minster.
An honorary life member of the Adelaide University Choral Society, he has been their Musical Director since 1997.

Peter is in demand as an accompanist and has been associated with a number of choirs in this capacity. He is also a piano, organ, and music theory teacher and works as an accompanist and music tutor at Walford School.

Peter's program will include works by Bach, Couperin, Brahms and Pachelbel
