The Christ Church North Adelaide Organ
The organ in Christ Church has evolved from a small but significant organ of 12 stops, installed in 1873. This instrument was built by the German-born organ builder August Gern, who worked with famous French organ builder Cavaillé-Coll before establishing his own business in England.

A series of rebuilds and expansions by several organ builders followed, culminating in a major rebuild in 2003 by Australian Pipe Organs and George Stephens. The instrument now contains 43 speaking stops distributed over three manuals and pedals and around 2,300 pipes.
Christ Church's pipe organ is in the English Romantic style, and is an outstanding instrument for both liturgical and concert use.
