Part club-night, part cabaret performance and all chaos, CULT is a queer mash-up of your old VHS collection and your hacked Netflix account, with your favourite films brought to life on stage in strange, glorious and sometimes very frightening ways.
It's a dusty hangout where Hitchcock and Kubrick lurk in the shadows, and
Stephen King and
Tim Burton arm wrestle while buying rounds of shots. It's a sequinned speak easy where Divine dances with Romy and Michelle, and Hedwig twerks with Frank N Furter. It's like falling into a real-life YouTube rabbit hole, but with more cocktails and lip syncing.
Presented by top production house Strut & Fret, the hitmakers behind Fringe favourites Limbo, Cantina and Fear & Delight, and featuring some of Australia's best loved cabaret and drag performers, CULT is a risque and rowdy tribute to the big screen that'll have you rolling in the aisles.
Dress up as your favourite cult movie or TV character and come relive the childhood memories you love (as well as a few you'd probably like to forget). This is one CULT you do want to join.
CULT runs February 12 to March 13 at the Umbrella Revolution in the Garden of Unearthly Delights. Tickets now on sale via Fringetix at
