In an era of live animation, virtual reality and audio-looping machines coming out the wazoo, don't underestimate the power of classic storytelling. An obscure piece of theatre, The Curiosity Experiment invited patrons to take one of thirteen places around a table, suspend their scepticism and surrender to the emerging science of vibrations that can encapsulate the spirit of an individual in any object from a bejewelled ring to a simple blindfold.

The performers made very effective use of sound, manipulating volume, mixing voices, using recorded tracks and everyday noises to weave a rich pool the audience floundered in, petrified by the tale being told. A great use of thriller tropes to create a genuinely creepy experience worth submitting your senses to.
