The rumours have swirled for years and now the secret is Out in Bob's brand new live show, Bob, Sweat & Tears! premiering at the Arts Theatre, 53 Angas Street from 4 - 15 March, nightly at 7.00pm (bar Mondays) as part of the 2014 Adelaide Fringe. 60 mins General (GA)

Australia's Prince of Polyester is finally manning up, performing a brand new bunch of classic hits including Spinning Wheel, Lola and Leader Of The Gang up front of a stunning live band, led by John Thorn.

Speaking from his luxury Murwillumbah penthouse Bob says: 'The show is a roller coaster ride of shocks, new frocks, fabulous music, surprise guests and the usual laugh a minute. Get in first - before Today Tonight or A Current Affair bash down my door!'

BOB DOWNE is one of Australia's most loved and enduring comedy characters, the creation of journalist, comedian, actor and broadcaster MARK TREVORROW.

Mark was born in Melbourne in 1959, trained as a journalist at the Herald Sun, and moved to Sydney in 1982 with the huge success of his cabaret group, THE GLOBOS. He created BOB DOWNE in 1984 and has toured the world as the Prince of Polyester ever since. Bob's last production stage show, WORLD WAR BOB, premiered to acclaim at the 2009 Adelaide Cabaret Festival, with a return season at Her Majesty's last April. Bob's most recent TV appearance was hosting the 2010 SYDNEY GAY & LESBIAN MARDI GRAS PARADE broadcast for Foxtel/Arena.

Since 2002, Mark Trevorrow has established a parallel career singing, acting and broadcasting as himself. He is heard regularly on ABC Local Radio and his 2004 nostalgic talkumentary series THE WAY WE WERE was a ratings winner on the national broadcaster. He also featured regularly on KATH & KIM, as 'Darryl' the menswear salesman.

One of his fondest anecdotes from his brilliant career is when he performed at the Royal Variety Performance in London, and in the line-up later to meet the Queen, Her Majesty enquired whether he had a valid work permit.

Tickets may be purchased through Fringetix and are priced from $32 to $36.
